Polished Version with Your Line

Stay in the Suburb You Love. Start Fresh with a New Home.

If you love your neighbourhood but not your current house, a knockdown rebuild could be the perfect solution. You’ll get the home you’ve always wanted — designed for your family, your lifestyle, and your block — without leaving the community you call home.

For many families, this means keeping kids at their schools, staying close to friends and family, and continuing to enjoy everything they love about the area — from weekend sport to Sunday brunch at the local café.

And while many people assume rebuilding is the most expensive option, it’s often the smarter investment. Renovations come with hidden costs, compromises, and constant “add-ons.” Selling up and buying elsewhere means stamp duty, agent’s fees, and the stress of moving. A knockdown rebuild avoids all that — giving you a brand-new home on the land you already know and love.

Why Adelaide Landowners Choose Knockdown Rebuilds

Here’s why more and more families are starting fresh on the land they already own:
Knockdown Rebuild Project
  • 1 Smarter Investment than Renovating
Major renovations come with hidden costs and awkward “old vs. new” joins. A rebuild avoids surprises and gives you the home you really want.
  • 2 Avoid $40k+ in Moving Costs
Stamp duty, agent fees, inspections, and removalists all add up. Rebuilding on your land avoids these hidden expenses.
  • 3 Stay in the Suburb You Love
Keep your kids in their schools, stay close to friends and family, and enjoy the lifestyle you already know.
  • 4 Leverage the Value of Your Land
If you’ve owned your block for years, chances are it’s appreciated significantly. Rebuilding lets you maximise that value without paying today’s suburb premium.
  • 5 Skip the Upgrades an Older Home Requires
Forget about patching old layouts, replacing appliances, or adding storage. A rebuild means starting with everything designed around your lifestyle.
  • 6 Build Equity from Day One
A brand-new custom home in an established suburb not only suits your life now, but adds long-term resale value.

Our Strengths with Knockdown Rebuilds

Every block is different — and that’s where we shine. Unlike volume builders who force your block into a set plan, we design every home to suit the land you already own.

Narrow Frontage

Got a 9m (or tighter) frontage? We create clever layouts that feel open, light, and spacious — with seamless flow from indoors to outdoors, even on compact metro sites.

Double-Storey Designs

Perfect for metro families who want more room without sacrificing their location. We design double-storey homes that maximise living upstairs (for views, light, and entertaining) while keeping bedrooms and private spaces downstairs.

Corner or Sloping Sites

Instead of fighting the shape or slope of your block, we design with it. On corner sites, we take advantage of dual street frontages for privacy and street appeal. On sloping land, our split-level designs flow naturally with the contours, avoiding expensive cut-and-fill.

Acreage Rebuilds

Whether it’s Strathalbyn, Mount Barker, or the Murraylands, we design country homes that embrace space, lifestyle, and views. Large verandahs, open-plan family zones, and thoughtful orientation ensure your home feels like it belongs to the land.

Your Knockdown Rebuild Made Simple

From permits to planning, demolition to design — here’s how the process works, plus answers to the questions Adelaide families ask us most.

The Knockdown Rebuild Process

Project Consultation
We start with a 20-minute consultation to understand your land, your current home, and your vision for what comes next. This is where we look at your site, timeline, and budget expectations, and talk through what’s possible.

Concept & Budget Range
Next, we create an early design concept tailored to your block, along with a realistic budget range. This gives you clarity from the beginning and avoids the “hidden surprises” that are common with renovations or volume builder quotes.

Council & Approvals
Demolition permits, planning approvals, engineering reports, and site preparation can feel overwhelming. We manage these steps for you, working directly with council so you know the process is handled properly.

Build with Transparency
Once building begins, you’ll have access to our BuilderTrend portal. This means:

  • Your full build schedule with key dates

  • Daily site logs and progress photos

  • Selections, documents, and approvals all in one place

  • Direct messaging with your builder
You’re never left guessing — you’ll always know what’s happening on site.

Move In
We hand over a home designed to suit your block, your lifestyle, and your future. Every build goes through a detailed quality inspection, and we provide post-handover support, so you feel confident long after move-in day.

Your Knockdown Rebuild Questions, Answered

Is knockdown & rebuild cheaper than renovating?
Often, yes. Renovations come with hidden costs, structural surprises, and compromises that add up quickly. With a rebuild, you start fresh with a brand-new, efficient home that avoids “patchwork fixes” and gives you exactly what you want.

What budgets do knockdown rebuilds start from?
Our knockdown rebuilds typically start from $550k for single-storey homes and $650k for double-storey homes. Final costs depend on block conditions (slope, soil, and access), council requirements, and your chosen level of finishes. We’ll provide a clear, tailored estimate early in the process so you know what to expect.

Do you handle demolition?
Yes. We manage the entire process — from demolition permits and service disconnections, to engaging licensed demolition contractors, to clearing the site ready for construction. You’ll have one point of contact throughout, and we’ll coordinate everything.

Do I need to move out during the rebuild?
Yes. Once demolition begins, the site is no longer habitable. Most families arrange short-term rental accommodation or stay with relatives during the build. We’ll help you plan timelines so you can minimise disruption.

Where do you rebuild?
We rebuild across Adelaide metro, including the western suburbs, southern suburbs down to Sellicks Beach, and select country areas such as Mount Barker, Strathalbyn, and the Murraylands. In some cases, we may also work in parts of the eastern suburbs depending on the project scope.

How long does a knockdown rebuild take? Every project is different. Timelines depend on council approvals, demolition requirements, and the size and complexity of your new home. What we can promise is that you’ll have a clear schedule upfront, and full visibility of progress through our BuilderTrend client portal — so you’ll always know where things stand.

Do you source land?
No — we only work with land you already own. Our focus is on creating a custom home designed specifically for your block.
